Cleaning your fruits and vegetables- Remember, the neighbors at the grocery store handled the apples before you did.
Don’t let greens air dry. Blotting tender fruits and vegetables dry with a paper towel will remove more microorganisms.
Also, cut your produce with care. Even fruit with inedible rinds needs to be washed. The knife blade can transfer bacteria to inside the fruit.
Bacteria thrive in the bruised areas of the produce, so cut those spots off as well.
